Yogi Adityanath’s real name is Ajay Singh. He was born in a Rajput family of Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. His father’s name is Anand Singh and mother’s name is Savitri Singh. His primary education started from 1977. In 1987, he passed the 10th class examination. In 1989, he passed the intermediate examination from Bharat Intermediate Inter College.

After passing 12th examination, he came to All India Council for graduation in 1990. In 1992, he obtained B.Sc degree in Mathematics from Hemwati Nandan University but due to all his papers being stolen in Kotdwar, he could not fulfill his desire of post graduation in Science.

Yet, when Yogi ji reached Gorakhpur in 1993 to complete his Mathematics MSc, the Ram Temple was at a controversial level in North India. Where he met Mahant Aalid Nath.
