The full name of Mahatma Gandhi was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He was born on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar district of Gujarat. From now on, holding the reins of proper freedom movement, openly jumped into the struggle. Indigo Satyagraha of Bihar, Dandi March or Salt Satyagraha Kheda’s farmer’s Satyagraha were the main Satyagraha movements of Gandhiji’s life. Foreign boycott and burning of foreign goods, importance of Charkha and Khadi for Swadeshi propaganda by untouchables are included in other social reform movements started for the promotion of Sarva Dharma Ekta.
That’s why he had to travel to jail several times. In 1931, Gandhiji went there to participate in the Round Table Conference held in England, but when Harijans were given the privilege of election separately from Hindus, against their wishes, Gandhi returned to India. Started the movement again.
When he started fasting after being imprisoned, the whole country was upset, as a result, the British government had to leave the stubbornness of separate election rights of Harijans according to Gandhiji’s opinion.
In the year 1942, on the occasion of Mumbai Congress, the warning given by him to the British, the British left India and the challenge given to the Indians to do or die, the result of which the British were obstructed from leaving India and finally liberated India on 15 August 1947.
